Product selection notes

Choose the device around the camera estate and the operating workflow

The same detection model can be deployed in different places. An AI camera suits a dispersed or new point where the first analysis should happen at capture. An edge box adds analytics to reachable RTSP or ONVIF streams. An AI NVR combines recording and event management. A server supports a larger central channel mix. The project should start with available video access, network conditions, evidence needs, and the team that will act on the events.

Existing cameras and NVRs

Confirm which camera streams are reachable, which codec and resolution are available, and whether a local network permits AI equipment to connect.

Remote or new camera points

Where RTSP access, an NVR, or reliable broadband cannot be assumed, front-end AI cameras can analyse locally and send selected events over the available network.

Event and evidence workflow

Define what should be retained: snapshots, short video references, plate or object attributes, local records, external alarms, or all of these together.

Representative site test
