An AI camera is a field device, not a generic add-on

An AI camera combines image capture and local recognition at one installation point. It works well for a gate, loading bay, fuel unloading point, workbench, isolated road section or another location that needs a defined event without a separate cabinet.

The device can keep daily recognition, capture and alarm generation inside the local network. It can send structured events and image evidence to a platform when the project needs central review. The original video retention policy stays with the customer.

Tasks are chosen for the view, not from a long catalogue

Common tasks include helmet and reflective-vest checks, smoke and flame, intrusion, people entering a vehicle risk area, vehicle parking, plate recognition, blocked routes, camera obstruction and selected work-process checks. A site does not need every task in one place.

The camera view decides what can be assessed. A wide view can support a boundary or people-vehicle rule. A closer view is often required for PPE, phone use, smoking or a hand-held item. The design starts with the event that must be handled, then chooses the angle, region, duration and evidence needed for that event.

Local inference and platform connection

The camera can analyze locally after the selected model is installed. Its platform connection can deliver records rather than streaming every frame across a wide-area connection. This is useful for distributed points, limited bandwidth and projects that want event evidence first.

A project platform can receive the camera name, channel, region, time, event type, target attributes, captured image and status. Integration teams should agree on retries, duplicates, data retention and who closes a verified event.

Custom models depend on real material
